What Is Fleet Tracking Software?

Fleet tracking software shows the real-time location and movement of every vehicle and machine in a fleet on one map, using GPS hardware fitted to each asset. TFO Software adds driver behaviour, geofencing and full location history, so you can see not just where assets are but how they are being used, from light vehicles to heavy plant.

What Is The Difference Between GPS Tracking And Telematics?

GPS tracking tells you where an asset is and where it has been. Telematics goes further, pulling data like engine hours, idle time, speed and driver events off the vehicle so you can act on how it is being run. TFO Software combines both, then feeds the telematics data into maintenance, fuel and safety records.

Can I Track Heavy Plant As Well As Vehicles?

Yes. TFO Software tracks excavators, water carts, trailers and other plant alongside utes and trucks, and it reports engine hours, not just kilometres. Tilt kits and asset-specific hardware are supplied for machines that do not have a standard vehicle power feed, so a mixed fleet sits on one live map.

How Does A Driver Monitoring System Improve Safety?

It records harsh braking, hard cornering, speeding and excess idling, then scores those events by driver and vehicle. Because most incidents come from a few repeated behaviours, seeing them early lets you coach drivers before a crash happens. The record also supports your Chain of Responsibility and safety obligations with evidence rather than assumptions.

Does Geofencing Work Across Multiple Sites?

Yes. You can set as many geofences as you need, around work sites, depots, yards or no-go zones, and each one logs when an asset enters or leaves and can alert you in real time. Multi-site operators use this for automatic site-time records, theft alerts out of hours and proof of attendance for client billing.

Do I Have To Buy The Tracking Hardware Separately?

The GPS hardware is supplied by TFO Software and matched to each asset, from light vehicle trackers through to Plant and Equipment Trackers for heavy machinery. It is supported in-house by the same Australian team that runs the software, so you are not dealing with a separate hardware vendor when something needs attention.

Can I Add Tracking Without Buying The Whole Platform?

Yes. FleetTrack can run on its own. Because TFO Software is modular and has no lock-in contract, you can start with tracking and add maintenance, hire or safety later, only paying for the programs you actually switch on.

How Much Does Fleet Tracking Software Cost?
